Zip Course

After my first ever zip went ok and wasnt as scary as i thought i figured i should probably learn how to do them properly. So i signed up for the zips and buttons course at the Make Lounge.
The course was fab, we learnt normal zips and concealed zips and how to do buttonholes on a fully automated machine - none of which i had ever attempted. Theyre actually really simple, its just confidence and few insider tips and tricks that help you get started. Might even try to make some clothes now i have this new skill....

Button Baubles Christmas card

Sorry if its too early for Christmas posts but I have to try out handmade stuff in advance to fix all the problems! I really like how this card has turned out (apart form the fact i cant spell merry!), its cute and not too Christmassy so i think i might make a few more for some good friends and possibly family this year. Hope your Christmas prep, if youre doing any, is going well too!

Button topped drawing pins

Being on a craft spending freeze does make me love the quick, easy and free makes! I've upgraded some plain old drawing pins by gluing some of my many many button to the top of them. Perfect for pinning crafting pictures to my noticeboards!

Button card

I attached some buttons to this stylish little man to make a cute little button card. I have thousands of buttons that my gran, mum, sister and i have collected over the years so its nice to use them for something!
