Biology Papercuts continued...

Well i finally had some time to try out the biology themed papercuts that i wanted to try. Although they're a bit rough a round the edges in places, im quite impressed with how well they have turned out. Clockwise, from the top left, there is an animal cell, a plant cell, the phospholipid bilayer and a synapse. I think these kind of biological diagrams translate really well into papercuts. I cant wait to try a few more, possibly one of the stages of mitosis or maybe some neurones...

Biology papercuts

Im a scientist by profession but craft and making stuff are what i love to do in my spare time so i love it when an idea comes along that combines the two! I saw these gorgeous biological themed paper cuts and knew that i wanted to try something similiar. I think scientific drawing lends itself to papercuts wells, especially the magnified details of cells and their organelles so i think thats what im going to try and create. Fingers crossed they turn out something similar to how i imagine!
