Melted Hama (Perler) bead flowers

I wanted to try and make some cute little flower charms like these i saw at Craft Gawker. But i didnt fancy melting proper plastic in my oven so i tried it with Hama (Perler) beads. I just placed them in flower shapes on greased tinfoil (make sure its greased or you'll have the same problem i did!) and popped them in the oven at 150C

Im not sure i like the finished effect, too thin basically, but im glad i tried it out. Might try stacking them up next time, to get them thicker...

Perler Birthday card

Yet another birthday card! I dont think i even know enough people to give out all the cards ive made recently! I already make this card but with knitted presents but i think they work well with the perler beads as well. I like perler beads when theyre not melted, i think i might try and find some other uses for them as well, any ideas welcome!. Now who to send this one to....

Hama bead coasters continued...

Love my hama bead Mario World Coasters! I used these templates. I much prefer the larger ones with the border to my mini test one - here

Hama (Perler) Beads Mario Star

I've seen loads of Hama (called Perler in the US) bead art based on old school computer games and i love them! Makes me all nostalgic for all the lost weekend and holidays spent completing Super Mario World and the Legend of Zelda!
I used these templates for my little star below. I plan on making a set but i need to wait for a bigger board to be delivered, should really have checked the size of the templates before buying stuff!!

Isnt he cute!!
