Check out the cute pom pom garlands lovely BM and i made. Finally put lovely BM to work in the craft room! Ive made them to sell at a craft market soon and if they dont sell then i can use them to decorate our wedding :)

Crochet basket

 

Check out the cute crochet basket i made! I used this pattern from Ravelry- dont you just love the ombre version on the pattern! It was super easy to make and you can use regular wool you just use 4 strands of it at the same time. Im definitely going to make some coloured ones next :)

Wool Wall Organiser

More organising and more colour coodinating!
I'd seen lots of people using hanging shoe storage for their wool and i thought it was a great idea. I looked everywhere for hanging shoe storage and i found loads but very few had clear pockets which was key to my scheme. So in the end, as I already had some clear vinyl from a previous project, i decided to make my own.







I based it on this tutorial at Totally Stitchin. I used cream calico for the back, white cotton tape instead of bias binding and then used metal eyelets and command hooks to hand it up. It only hold small balls of wool, i keep the bulkier stuff in a storage bench, but they were the wools i was loosing track of so its perfect. I can easily see what i have and how much, just at a glance.

Embroidery Wool Storage with Pegs

Organising week is in full swing! First off i wanted to organise my supplies themselves better, then once thats done i'll look at the overall set up of everything.
First up - embroidery wool.

This is how my wool currently lives, it totally puts me off doing any embroidery immediately :(
Ive seen lots of people use pegs to wind their thread/wool onto so i thought id give that a go.

 
Does it look gorgeous now! Its such am improvement, easy to find the colour, easy to use, easy to store and looks pretty cute too! The pegs are pretty sturdy soi think they'll just live in a box all together.

Wool/Yarn wrapped Washer Necklace

I loved these little yarn wrapped washers and i has some washers left after making this guy so i thought id have a go. My washers were tiny so i didnt bother trying multiple colours on one washer but i love the finished effect. Theyre also really soft and fluffy to the touch so i never stop touching them when im wearing them! 

Gold rings and wool necklace

I had a go at making this diy gold rings necklace from Creature Comforts, it was so easy. I just made it using stuff i already had lying around (making spending freeze is still on!) but if i made another one i think i would combine a few colours of wool and maybe find some different textured rings as well, just to make it a bit more professional looking. But i still like it, just need to find an outfit to wear it with now...

Knitted Pencils

I feel in love with these little crocheted pencils at crochet n play designs but im rubbish at crochet and trying to make them was slowly driving me insane. So i thought - stick to what you know abi - and i found this cute knitting pattern for very similar pencils from Mochimochi land. (If you dont know about Mochimochi land then please check them out, they make the cutest little knitted things and they specialise in teeny tiny knits!)

Anyway back to the pencils - these were so easy to make, they took me less than an hour each and im not a fast knitter by anyones standard. I just changed the colour of the body each time to make myself a set (spot the 'deliberate' mistake with the tips though!). I used up my some of  my wool stash doing these and used lots of different thickness wools, which hopefully explains the varaiation in size (not that i cant count stitches or rows at all!) but i'm really pleased how they turned out, now do i give them away or keep them for myself...

Upcycled Wool Bag

  

I turned this old wool coat of mine into a fab new handbag!
I used this tutorial as a basic starting point but changed all the sizes and omitted the interfacing and fleece as the wool was sturdy enough. I also changed the pleats from multiple single pleats to one double pleat which worked much better with the wool
I L-O-V-E how it turned out and even lovely BM was impressed (pretty hard to do normally!)
And even better it was free!!

Makes i love this week

Great tutorial for a ruffle heart tshirt over at makeit-loveit its for a girls tshirt dress but you could definitely use the same concept on an adult tshirt
